Built in 1859, Hotel Steyne is one of Manly’s most historical buildings that showcases a wide spanned view of the beautiful Manly Beach and fosters a relaxed and friendly atmosphere since its beginnings. There is opportunity to hire corporate event spaces alongside catering packages to fit your next work conference.
Hotel Steyne is easily noticeable being the first building oceanside of The Corso walkway which connects Manly Beach to Manly Wharf, making it a simple 5 minute walk from either side. There are three bars spaces to choose from when booking a space within the hotel.
The first hire space is Blacket’s Whiskey Bar which is located on the second floor. This spacious, yet still cosy area can hold 80-100 people and is conveniently already set up with in house AV equipment making presentation preparation easy. Blacket’s Bar reflects Hotel Steyne’s architecture prior to being revamped and renovated, so is very intimate with antique warm yellow lamps and candles providing dim light in the space. Blacket’s Bar has a wooden sliding door divide between an undercover waterfront lookout , and the bar space itself.
The second bar available for hire is the Beach Club Bar, also on the second floor. This space can hold a larger group, ranging from 50-250 people maximum. Beach Club Bar has an outdoors section on the balcony that overlooks the beautiful beach, providing fresh air and natural light to the venue space. This space can be used for both conferencing and as a cocktail styled function with in built audiovisual capabilities.
Hotel Steyne’s rooftop bar is also available to book for functions and events. Formally known as The Glasshouse, this revamped space is now The Miami Rice Bar and is on the top level of the building providing a panoramic view of the ocean and Manly. It’s a breezy, relaxed and stylish seated and standing area with its own asian inspired Miami Rice menu on offer.
Hotel Steyne also offers their own food and beverage catering packages. There are standard, premium and deluxe options for cold or hot canape pickings, with a range of sliders and platters on offer too. Additionally, their special pizza package serves a minimum of 10 people and contains a selection of 4 pizzas, with bowls of chips and wedges. As for drinks, there is a both a standard and premium package for beverages.
Team building activities to do before or after visiting Hotel Steyne are right at your doorstep with options like Manly Surf School right across the hotel, SUPBALL Paddleboarding close by in Manly Cove or even a snorkel with EcoTreasures along the reef of Shelly Beach. Hotel Steyne is also the perfect meeting spot to either start or finish a coastal walk.
For conference groups, Hotel Steyne itself has 42 accommodation rooms, some with an impressive water views and all with a smart TV, espresso machine, in-room safe, phone charging dock station, mini bar fridge and wardrobe each.
